Baru-baru ini, Wak sempat melawat workshop sarung pisau kydex yang dikedalikan oleh 362 Custom Kydex. Bagi Wak, Peter dari 362 Custom Kydex adalah antara tukang kydex terulung di Malaysia. Ketekunan serta komitmen beliau menghasilkan produk berasaskan kydex (sarung pistol, dompet kad, sarung pisau dll) membuatkan beliau terserlah berbanding pembuat lain. Disini, Wak kongsikan pengalaman Wak melihat Peter bekerja di workshop beliau.
I was really intrigued with the EDC kydex wallet by 362 Custom Kydex after seeing pictures as posted by Wak. I placed an order for a unit a few weeks ago when I was overseas. Upon my return, a Poslaju package was already waiting on my desk. Here are some pictures of my new EDC wallet in kydex made by 362 Custom Kydex.
Making kydex sheaths for knives is really an art on its own. A well made kydex sheath keeps the blade safe for use and is almost maintenance free (as oppose to leather or wood sheaths). I have personally tried to make kydex sheaths for my own knives and Malaysian made parangs but soon to realize some things are best left to the experts. Peter of 362 Custom Kydex is one of the very few people I know in Malaysia that actually makes excellent kydex molded products. Here are some pictures I took of his latest custom made kydex sheaths.
Mari kita lihat.
A friend of a friend who is with a Malaysian law enforcement agency recently asked me where he can get a Glock 17 holster (kydex) made. Well, if anyone in Malaysia that owns and carries a firearm legally wants a custom made holster, I would simply recommend them to Peter of 362 Custom Kydex. I called Peter a few days ago and he agreed to show me the works of a Glock 17 IWB holster he is making for a customer.
Peter from 362 Custom Kydex did it again with his recent kydex key fob offerings. I cannot resist custom made EDC gadget like these as I believe the world is way too boring to have everything standard and off the shelf. After spending years in the army, I have learn to hate monotonous lifestyle and will try my best to stay away from it as much as possible. Here are some pictures of Peter’s new kydex key fobs offering.
Check out this cool kydex key holder by 362 Custom Kydex (Malaysia). Gone are the days of boring key rings and leather wallets for me. This key holder is adjustable and you can customize the scales and layout of your keys as you wish. KInda reminds me of my EDC Leatherman tool.
Peter of 362 Custom Kydex recently showed me a custom kydex wallet he was making for a customer. Yup…you heard that right folks…an everyday carry wallet made out of kydex. I was apprehensive with the idea initially but after having a closer look at it, I reckon it is really an awesome piece of kit. Ordered mine immediately and a few more for mates for Christmas.
I was recently contacted by a reader asking about a particular kydex holsters maker in Malaysia that goes by the name TST Kydex. TST Kydex kept popping up whenever there’s a discusion about kydex holsters, knife sheaths and just about any other thing that can be kydex fitted. This kydex sheath maker seems to have good ravings among my circle of friends. Certainly, he must be quite good if gun owners in Malaysia goes to him for kydex holsters.
